Schools of Electronics and Computer Science

This page will give details of the transfer of users and computers from the SEECS system to the IT Service (ITS) system. The transition will take place over the next 12 months and should be completed by the start of the 2008/2009 academic year.
Important Information
The most significant initial change will be requiring users to move their email account from SEECS to ITS. So it is important that you know what your ITS username (of the form ees/eep) and password are.
We will ask all returning students to use the ITS mail system from the start of this academic Year. We will be directing any email received on their SEECS account to the ITS account.
The email lists for courses and modules and tutees exist on the ITS system. You can find out more here.
Staff and Postgraduate Students will be migrated to the ITS system individually. However, if you would like to use the ITS email system here are some instructions. A note for advanced users, in most email readers (Outlook and Thunderbird) you are able to configure two accounts, this will allow you to "drag and drop" any folders from one to another.
Once all users have been transferred to the ITS system the email server at SEECS will be closed down. However, mail destined for @informatics.bangor.ac.uk and @sees.bangor.ac.uk will then be handled by the ITS mail server and passed to the correct user.
