Welcome Week 2006.

Saturday 23^rd September	7.30pm	Ffriddoedd Site Security Lodge	Some students on the Ffriddoedd Site will be arriving on Saturday (you will hear from the Halls Office on which day you should arrive). There will be a night out organised by Informatics Peer Guides: meet the Peer Guides at the Ffriddoedd Site Security Lodge at 7.30pm.
Sunday 24^th September	7.30pm	Ffriddoedd Site Security Lodge, Rathbone Main Entrance, St. Mary’s Site Main Gates, Morrisons supermarket main entrance	All new students are invited to an evening get-together. Meet the Peer Guides at the meeting-place nearest to your halls, or if you are a home-based student there will be Peer Guides waiting for you at the main entrance of the Morrisons supermarket in Upper Bangor.
Monday 25^th September	11.00am	PJ Hall, University main Building	Formal welcome by the Vice-Chancellor
	2.00pm	Students’ Common Room, School of Informatics	Welcome by head of School, followed by Induction Session. Tickets will be on sale for Friday’s “Exotic Location Trip”
Tuesday 26^th September	9.30am+	School of Informatics	Meet your Tutor morning—appointment times and room numbers will be distributed on Monday. School and Library tours: immediately after your tutor meeting assemble at the Peer Guides HelpDesk in the foyer for a tour of the School—find out where your lectures and labs will be taking place next week!
	2.00pm+		Free time to discuss options with other departments.
Wednesday 27^th September	All day	Room 120, School of Informatics	Departmental Registration. Students will be allocated a time slot on Monday.
	All day	PJ Hall, University Main Building	Module Fair
	1.00pm+	Students’ Union	Serendipity (Clubs and Societies Fair)
	4.00pm	Room 319, School of Informatics	Informatics computer system orientation. Learn about the School of Informatics Intranet system, etc.
	7.30pm	See posters in School of Informatics Foyer	Pub evening: see posters in School of Informatics foyer for more details.
Thursday 28^th September	All day	PJ Hall, University Main Building	Administrative Registration. All students must attend. Peer Guides will be on hand to help.
	All day		Beach Trip. Details to be confirmed: see posters in School of Informatics foyer.
Friday 29^th September	12.00 mid day	Depart from School of Informatics	Trip to an Exotic Location. Tickets for sale from Monday 25^th.
Saturday 30^th September	7.30pm	Belle Vue, Upper Bangor	An informal evening at the Belle Vue. A chance to meet again with the Peer Guides and look back at your first week.
