The masterclasses are seen as an excellent collaboration between the University, the Local Education Authorities, and local industry.

A number of children have decided to take up University studies in mathematics as a result of attending the masterclasses. The most important gain is simply to open new windows, and make people alive to a further range of possibilities, opportunites, and visions.

The Masterclasses led, by a strange series of coincidencies, to contact between Ronnie Brown and the sculptor John Robinson, and this has given rise to a collaboration on exhibitions and on the web site Symbolic Sculptures and Mathematics.

Thus a further range of spinoffs is for those involved in the presentations, to open up new possibilities and to make contact with a different style of teaching!
