The future of Mathematics at Bangor is uncertain, following the
decision not to admit any students to Mathematics degrees in 2005.
The position of the university on future admissions is indicated by
the following statement from the Admissions Office (dated 13 October 2005):
Mathematics courses have been suspended at UCAS for 2006 entry.
Options for developing new teaching programmes and a research capability
are currently being explored - but no decisions have yet been reached.
We will try to inform interested parties of the outcome as soon as possible.
