The project supports a Visiting Fellow Dr E.M. Shahverdiev to undertake theoretical work directed at elucidating fundamental issues pertinent to the practical application of time-delayed laser systems in chaos-based communications systems. The project will complement experimental studies being performed at Bangor using chaotic external cavity laser diodes.
