Summary

 

The  aim of this project is to undertake experimental assessment of  polarisation properties of cw multi-wave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifiers . The  project has specific objectives of demonstrating novel   schemes for  :

 

(i) Polarisation independent multiwave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifiers

(ii)Polarisation-independent spectral inversion without frequency shift

 

Project work has also been directed at examining polarisation switching phenomena in VCSELs.
