Summary

 

Design and experimental work is to be undertaken to demonstrate key elements of semiconductor quantum computers. The main project work will include:

1)      Determination of error thresholds for quantum processors implemented using semiconductor quantum dots;

2)      Demonstration of a prototype THz photon source for memory addressing;

3)      Optimisation of a THz detector for data bus implementation.
